U.S. Senator Jon Corzine coasted to an easy win last week in New Jersey gubernatorial election, defeating Republican challenger Doug Forrester by a 10% margin and winning 13 of the State’s 21 counties.He will be sworn in on January 17, 2006, at which time he will resign his Senate seat.He will have the opportunity at that time to name his successor, who will serve the final year of his Senate term.
