David Sickel Chosen As TMQDA Finalist In New Orleans

NJCAR is proud to announce that David Sickel, President of Pine Belt Chevrolet of Lakewood and NewJersey’s 2009 TIME Magazine Quality Dealer Award (TMQDA) winner was selected as one of only five TMQDA national finalists at the NADA Convention in New Orleans last month. David’s recognition at the Convention continues a very nice run for New Jersey representatives over the past several years (see sidebar).The TMQDA recognizes new vehicle dealers in the United States for exceptional performance in their dealerships combined with distinguished community service. David was one of only a handful of dealers recognized as a finalist.David began his automotive career in 1969, after graduating from Franklin & Marshall College with a degree in Political Science and serving six months active duty in the Naval Reserves. He worked with his father as a salesman and became the dealer of record in 1975, upon his father’s retirement. More than 70years after the dealership’s first Chevrolet store opened, David’s son has joined the family business, which has grown to an eight-store, third-generation auto group serving Monmouth and Ocean Counties.Please join NJ CAR in congratulating David on this wonderful honor.
