It is with deep sadness and a sense of loss that we report the passing of Mitch Friedman, the principal of The New Norris Chevrolet, Inc. in Westfield, who passed away on April 20 at the age of 78.He is survived by his wife Bernice; a son, Lawrence; daughters Susan Early and Lisa Kenney, and eight grandchildren. Mr. Friedman was a well-respected member of New Jersey’s auto retailing community.He was active in the Union County Automobile Dealers Association, a former Trustee and Regional Vice President of NJ CAR, and played a large role in the success of the Coalition’s Motor Vehicle Operations through Co chairing the Coalition’s Motor Vehicle Committee. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Temple Emanuel in Westfield, NJ. NJ CAR’s condolences go out to the family and close friends of Mitch Friedman.
