With more than 50 participating dealerships and $30,000 raised so far, the NJ CAR-organized Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) NJ 2005 Tie One on for Safety Campaign is shaping up to be a huge success for both MADD and all participating dealerships. While the program officially kicked off October 1, NJ CAR and MADD will accept new participants throughout the remainder of the year and encourage all dealerships to get involved in this worthwhile cause. The Tie One on for Safety campaign provides an excellent opportunity for dealerships to show their community support in a very visible way, while also raising funds for MADD NJ and public awareness about the issues of drunk driving and seatbelt use.NJ CAR’s commitment is to raise $50,000 for MADD NJ. Dealerships that choose to support MADD NJ and participate in this exciting program will have many opportunities to actively promote their involvement, including the use of the recognizable MADD logo in their advertising for the duration of the campaign. <>In addition to committing to a small donation for every new and used car sold between October 1 and December 31, 2005, and purchasing ribbons to distribute, dealers will also have the opportunity to purchase other materials through MADD that help promote your dealership’s involvement, and further benefit MADD NJ’s fund-raising efforts. NJ CAR and MADD have already posted a list of participating dealerships on their respective websites and will continue updating them as additional dealerships join the campaign.Be sure to check out the public side of the NJ CAR website (www.njcar.org) to see who is participating already. There is no deadline to sign up to participate in the Tie One on for Safety campaign. We welcome dealership participants throughout the campaign.
