Automotive retailers from throughout New Jersey are supporting the Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) NJ 2005 Tie One On For Safety campaign. The Tie One On For Safety campaign is one of MADD’s longest running programs and is aimed at raising public awareness about the issues of drunk driving and seatbelt use. The 2005 campaign was officially kicked off on Thursday, September 22nd at a State House press conference with Acting Governor Richard Codey who joined representatives from MADD, NJ CAR and participating dealerships.Participating dealerships have committed to make a small donation for every new and used car sold between October 1 and December 31, 2005. These dealerships are also distributing the Tie One On For Safety ribbons to anyone who requests one.
