NADA Releases Study On Consumer Benefits of the Dealer Franchise System

Jun 23, 2014

The National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) recently commissioned a study by auto industry consultant Maryann Keller to spell out the many benefits of the franchised new car/new truck dealer network for BOTH consumers AND manufacturers. According to the report, “Consumer Benefits of the Dealer Franchise System,” factory-direct sales of new cars and light trucks (either sold online or through factory-owned and operated retail outlets) have not resulted in lower prices for consumers or increased market share for manufacturers. The report is part of a major new “Get The Facts” initiative from NADA to promote the benefits of America’s franchised dealer network. The initiative includes a Website and variety of multimedia resources available at www.nada.org/GetTheFacts.
