New Jersey And U.S. Vehicle Sales Continue To Rise

According to Auto Outlook, combined September and October vehicle sales in NewJersey were just shy of 84,000, up more than 30% from the same two months in 2012, which were hit hard by the widespread effects of Hurricane Sandy. Through October, more than 414,500 new vehicles have been sold in New Jersey, up 14% from the same point in 2012.Sales of cars and light trucks climbed 11%, or 1.22 million vehicles nationally, according to an average of nine estimates released by Bloomberg News. The annualized industry sales rate, adjusted for seasonal trends, rose to 15.2 million, based on an estimate of 14 analysts, up dramatically from the 14.4 million pace at the same time last year. Sales are on pace for the best sales year since 2007.
