New Jersey Dealer Heads SkillsUSA Competition

MaryJane Salvato of Colonial Motors in Somerville was the Competition Coordinator for the NewJersey SkillsUSA competition, which was held in Somerset County on Saturday, May 13. Automotive Technology students from vocational schools all over the State tested their skills and knowledge of automotive repair at the competition. The Gold Medalist was Richard Dean of Hunterdon County Polytech, who served his internship at Ditschman Flemington Ford. Richard was also a member of the NJCAR-sponsored team which achieved fourth place at the National Automotive Technology Competition in April. Richard will next compete at the SkillsUSA National Competition held in Kansas City in June. The Silver Medal was taken by Russ Crosby from Warren County Technical School, who is interning at Callaremi Pontiac Cadillac in Hackettstown.
