Join NJ CAR on November 20 and 21, 2014, to learn how you can tap into the consumer’s pride of ownership and need to protect a long-term investment and maximize your sales in the F&I Department. This energetic course will bring back the basics of selling finance and insurance in your dealership. You will learn the federal and State laws that regulate the F&I Department and how they can help you build a relationship with your customers. This is not just a menu presentation or a product up-selling seminar. You will be challenged to engage your customers and lead them to a quality-buying decision. Topics covered during this 2-day Boot Camp include:

? Understanding the interview process to influence product sales and justify rates.

? Building value versus needs selling.

? Targeting sales objective.

? Understanding the menu-compliant selling system and why it works.

NJ CAR will be conducting a 3-day Seminar for Newly-Hired Sales Consultants (or anyone needing a refresher on the sales process from A to Z) on December 3, 4 and 5, 2014 at NJCAR Headquarters in West Trenton, New Jersey. The Coalition has contracted MyDXPro to provide the training. The seminar facilitators (Gary Coleman, Richard Sabo and DirkZondag) have over 80 years combined dealership experience ranging from Salesperson to Dealer Principal and everything in between. Attendees will learn the sales process from A to Z, including:

  • Meet & Greet;

  • Consultation & Fact Finding;

  • Selecting the Right Vehicle;

  • Six-Point Walk Around and Demo Drive;

  • Selling the Dealership/Service Walk;

  • Presenting the First Pencil and Gaining an Offer at Higher Gross Profits;

  • Non-Confrontational Negotiating;

  • Closing;

  • Best Follow-Up Methods to Gain the Highest CSI;

  • Customer Retention for Your Dealership;

  • Goal Setting; and

  • Thinking Outside the Box Prospecting.

AFIP Certification Class And Exam:

December 9 And 18, 2014 In Edison, New Jersey

The Association of F&I Professionals (AFIP) Certification Exam has produced the most educated F&I Managers in the industry and is highly recommended by the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA), the National Independent Automotive Dealers Association (NIADA) and Route One.

This live AFIP Prep for Exam Workshop will cover all the materials and information needed to pass the AFIP Certification Exam. It is the “SAT Prep” for the AFIP Exam. Seminar begins at 9:30 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at The Mironov Group (2025 Lincoln Highway, Suite 300, Edison, NJ 08817). The cost of the Seminar is $150 per person for NJ CAR Dealer Members.

The AFIP Review & Exam will be proctored and will include a two-hour review prior to taking the Exam. Seminar begins at 9:30 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2014, at The Mironov Group (2025 Lincoln Highway, Suite 300, Edison, NJ 08817). The cost of the Seminar is $150 per person for NJ CAR Dealer Members.

If your Basic AFIP Certification has expired, or you simply want to become an AFIP-Certified Professional, these classes will benefit you. This course and testing session has resulted in scores well above the industry norm. But more importantly, they help ensure that you not only master the State and federal regulations, but also are better equipped to apply them to daily in-store situations.

Earn A Professional Designation Along With Your AFIP Certification

Individuals who complete AFIP training and successfully pass the exam can now earn one of three professional designations: Certified Professional in Financial Services (CPFS), Senior Certified Professional in Financial Services (SPFS) or Master Certified Professional in Financial Services (MPFS).

Going forward, certification diplomas will carry the appropriate professional designation and all current AFIP certified members in good standing (those who have been certified within the last two years) may use the appropriate acronym after their names. Individuals who fail to complete AFIP’s ongoing education requirements may not use the professional designation.
