NJ CAR Dealership Compliance Certification Provides A Thorough Briefing On Important and Timely Issues

Feb 21, 2014

NJ CAR will be hosting its two-day Dealership Compliance Certification Program on March6, 2014 and March 11, 2014. Participants must attend BOTH classes in order to be certified. The 2014 Dealership Compliance Certification Program has been updated to address a variety of new and emerging compliance issues. The Program provides every dealership management-level employee with the knowledge they need to ensure compliance with regulations that affect your business, in order to reduce the threat of government fines or private lawsuits.NJ CAR’s Regulatory Compliance Certification program starts with the fundamentals, and then goes far beyond to provide a thorough briefing on the latest controversies and issues in the regulatory compliance arena! In just the last few months there have been several major developments, including the Equal Credit Opportunity Act compliance issues alleged by the BCFP and the development of a response strategy by the retail automotive industry , The FTC’s ongoing national crackdown on deceptive and misleading advertising, the recent federal prosecutions involving export “brokers” and straw purchases by gray-market exporters, and dealership rights under the NJ Franchise Practices Act dealing with this issue, as well as other FPA protections afforded to dealerships in New Jersey. Certification also lets a dealership’s customers know that they are committed to professionalism and the highest business standards. It also lets government regulators know that your dealership has made an effort to ensure compliance. This also sends a message that the industry is capable of self-regulation, and burdensome laws and regulations are not needed. The Dealership Compliance Certification Program is designed for General Managers, General Sales Managers, Controllers, Office Managers and CFOs.Topics covered during the two-day Program include:

  • New Jersey Motor Vehicles and Insurance licensing requirements and operating regulations.
