NJ CAR Holds Virtual Annual Meeting For The First Time EVER

Oct 06, 2020

NJ CAR’s 102nd Annual Meeting was held on Wednesday, September 23, 2020. It was the first Annual Meeting to be held virtually, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

NJ CAR’s Outgoing Chairman Rob Sickel, Incoming Chairwoman Judith Schumacher-Tilton and President Jim Appleton spoke to members about issues the industry and NJ CAR have faced over the past year, including how the Coalition navigated the COVID-19 pandemic. NJ CAR Motor Vehicle Operations were recognized for the incredible work they did when NJMVC shut down local agencies for several months and the NJ CAR motor vehicle processing was, literally, the only game in town.

Rob, Judith and Jim also commented on anticipated issues the industry will face in the coming year, while Breanna Esquilin, NJ CAR Director of Workforce Development, and Charles Russo, NJ CAR Risk Manager and Safety Specialist, provided attendees with a brief presentation about the new NJ CAR Clean program. Attendees also recognized Rick DeSilva, Jr., NJ CAR’s 2021 TIME Dealer of the Year Award winner.

Copies of both Mr. Sickel’s Outgoing Chairman Message and Mrs. Schumacher-Tilton’s Incoming Chairwoman Message are included as attachments below.
