NJ CAR hosted a free panel discussion on Thursday, February 10th to discuss solutions for achieving and maintaining Safeguards Rule compliance. Panelists for the discussion included Doug Fusco (Dealer Safeguard Solutions), Chris Cleveland (Comply Auto), Michael Dachille (AutoTrieve), as well as Judy Vann of JV Solutions.
The changes to the Safeguards Rule, which went into effect on January 10, 2022, are extensive and impose a series of technical and administrative requirements on dealers, particularly as it relates to Data Protection and Cyber Security Protocols. Dealers must act immediately in order to ensure they are in compliance with these new rules.
