For the second time in six months, the NJ CAR Motor Vehicle Operations at 770 River Road in Trenton was among the victims of flooding last week and was without power for five days. The 770 River Road building was closed for five days while several inches of mud was removed from the building’s first floor and parking lot and extensive electrical repairs were made. Courier service was suspended for a few days, but scheduled pickups of motor vehicle work resumed on Thursday, April 7. The building’s power was turned on late Friday afternoon (April 8) and staff immediately resumed processing of motor vehicle documents.NJ CAR staff is working overtime to eliminate the backlog, with staff processing and returning work in the order it was received. NJ CAR would like to thank all dealers using the Motor Vehicle Operations for their understanding during this trying time and apologizes for any inconvenience the situation may have caused Coalition members.
