The Automotive Trade Association Executives (ATAE), which represents 115 state and metro new car and truck dealer groups in the U.S. and Canada, has elected NJCAR’s own JimAppleton as ATAE Chairman for 2014. The role of ATAEs across the country has never been more important, with many organizations working together to respond to industry, legislative and regulatory challenges faced by new car and truck dealers.Jim will be working closely with National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) Chairman Forrest McConnell, who has made it clear that he plans to grow the ATAE role in NADA’s affairs. Mr.McConnell will continue the work of his predecessor, former NADA Chairman Dave Westcott, who made certain that ATAE input was a part of every important industry-related decision.Please join NJ CAR in congratulating Jim on his recent election and wishing him success during his tenure as ATAE Chairman.
