NJ CAR Recognizes …

hau-wai Lam, President and CEO of DCH Auto Group, was recently selected as a 2006 Ellis Island Medal of Honor recipient. The award, presented by the National Ethnic Coalition Organization (NECO), recognizes individuals who “exemplify the ideal of living a life dedicated to the American way while preserving the values of a particular heritage.”

Mr. Lam joined DCH in 1967 and, in 1992, he and partners from Hong Kong bought out DCH’s American subsidiary, which by then was focused solely on automotive retailing. In addition to his most recent honor, Mr. Lam is also a past TIME Magazine Quality Dealer Award winner from New Jersey and was recently named as a finalist for the AIADA – Business Week Dealer of the Year Award.
