NJ CAR is happy to introduce the Coalition’s newest hire, Anne Smith, who will be serving as NJ CAR’s Dealer Member Liaison. Anne will be responsible for member outreach and dealer engagement and will be visiting dealers to make them aware of pertinent legal, regulatory and industry affairs issues that impact dealership operations.
One of Anne’s primary goals will be to meet with dealership personnel, at all levels, and find out how NJ CAR can best help your dealership, whether it’s a member service question, a compliance concern or something else. The Coalition is here to advocate for our dealer members and the 39,000 men and women who rely on the industry for their livelihood. Anne will be the Members’ direct pipeline to key NJ CAR employees and services offered by the Coalition.
Anne will also be focusing on the Coalition’s ongoing digital dealer engagement program and grassroots network. She will be working to help dealers, dealership employees, friends and familyhelp NJ CAR advance and protect the industry’s interests. The industry is stronger and NJCAR is more effective as your advocate at The State House when thousands of dealers, dealership employees, family and friends get involved and voice their concerns aboutissues that affect the retail car business in New Jersey.
Anne grew up in Pennsylvania, and attended York College of Pennsylvania, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communications. She has been involved in the auto retail industry for more than 30 years. She currently lives in Brick, New Jersey with her husband John, Dealer Principal of Smith Motor Company in Washington, NJ, and has three adult children.
