NJMVC Agency Hours Will Change Effective July 31, 2010

Jul 14, 2010

New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (NJMVC) Chief Administrator Raymond P. Martinez announced last week that the NJMVC will adjust its hours of operation to better reflect customer trends and convenience. Effective July 31, all NJMVC agencies will be closed on Mondays. The agencies will open at 8 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday, closing at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday and Friday, and remaining open until 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday. Saturday hours will be extended until 1 p.m. The move to reinstate evening hours and extend Saturday operations reflects NJMVC’s efforts to be available when it is most convenient for the customer. In addition to agency hour changes, walk-in services offered at select agencies for suspension and surcharge issues will be provided during weekdays only, beginning July 31. Keep in mind that, while the hours of operation of local NJMVC agencies may be changing, effective July 31, these changes have no impact on NJCAR’s Motor Vehicle Operations, which will continue to operate Monday through Friday.
