The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (NJMVC) has made revisions to the following sections of the New Jersey Certificate of Title and the Dealer Reassignment form:
Certificate of Title
1.The “Statement of Seller”2.The “Statement of Buyer”3.“Buyer’s Signature and Name” has been changed to “Co-Buyer”
Dealer Reassignment Form
1. “Buyer’s Signature and Name” has been changed to “Co-Buyer”
In addition, a new section has been added to both the Certificate of Title and the Dealer Reassignment form to allow for the recording of the name, address and ID number of the auction at which a vehicle is sold. This new section is not required to be completed at this time.
The MVC will send out a notice to alldealerships in the near future that will provide direction on how to complete this new section.
