NJ CAR wants to remind all dealers participating in the Charge up New Jersey Electric Vehicle (EV) Incentive Program that starting January 1st, 2023, Plug-in Hybrid Electric (PHEV) vehicles will no longer be eligible for the incentive.
The deadline for customers to order, purchase, or lease an eligible PHEV will be Saturday, December 31st, 2022.
Dealerships and Showrooms must submit all PHEV applications by 8:00 p.m. ET on January 15th, 2023, to qualify for reimbursement for eligible PHEVs ordered, purchased, or leased on or before December 31st, 2022.
PHEVs ordered, purchased, or leased after the deadline of Saturday, December 31st, 2022 will not qualify for the incentive.
Dealers are encouraged to contact any customers that have shown an interest in purchasing or leasing an eligible plug-in hybrid to make them aware of the deadline to receive the incentive.
