Robert L. DeFelice Assumes NJ CAR Chairmanship

Robert L. DeFelice, dealer principal of Circle Chevrolet Company in Shrewsbury, NewJersey, assumed the NJCAR Chairmanship, effective November 1, 2006. He succeeds Richard A. DeSilva. Robert is a 20+ year veteran of the retail automotive industry in New Jersey and joined the NJCAR Executive Committee in 2002 as Regional Vice President-Central Region. He has since served in the positions of Treasurer, Secretary and Vice Chairman.

Robert is a third-generation dealer principal at Circle Chevrolet. He started working in the dealership right out of high school and soon attended Northwood Institute in Midland, Michigan, where he graduated with Associate degrees in both Advertising and Automotive Marketing & Management.

He returned to the dealership and started working in the service department, working his way through the ranks to the sales department, wearing all the hats and working all the hours that prepared him to run thedealership. He became dealer principal in November 1996. He has been actively involved in the Chevy Go Getters advertising board, as well as the GMAC local dealer council.

Robert was born, raised and still lives in Lincroft, New Jersey with his wife, Nona, and his children, Robert, Jr. and Nina.

Also named as senior officers for the 2006-2007 association year are: Vice Chairman Eric Nielsen (Dover Dodge, Rockaway), Secretary Alvin Konner (Konner Chevrolet, West Caldwell) and Treasurer Wayne Hileman (Burlington Volkswagen, Burlington).
