Thieves Hit GM Dealers in NJ & PA

Aug 03, 2005

It has come to NJ CAR’s attention that at least two New Jersey dealerships were victimized by thieves late last week and early this week.In each of the incidents reported, new vehicle navigation systems were stolen out of Chevy Suburban, Tahoe and Avalanche models. In what may be a trend targeting GM vehicles, NJ CAR received an alert from the neighboring Philadelphia dealers association on Friday (July 29) indicating that a large GM dealership in King of Prussia had the navigation systems stolen from all new vehicles in its inventory. The Coalition immediately sent an email alert to its members letting them know of this latest round of thievery. It appears these are not isolated incidents, so be alert in case those responsible for this theft are searching for more navigation systems to steal.
