NJ CAR has been advised that the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission’s (NJMVC) Irvington Motor Vehicle Agency, located at 10Washington Avenue in Essex County, will permanently close at 12 noon on Saturday, June21. The closest agencies for those who previously used the Irvington office are the East Orange Agency at 55 Washington Street, the Newark Agency at 228 Frelinghuysen Avenue, or check www.njmvc.gov for alternate locations.
Also, the NJMVC’s appointment-only Montclair Vehicle Inspection Station at 16 Label Street in Essex County will permanently close at 12 noon on Saturday, June 21.
At 4:30 p.m., Thursday, July 3, the NJMVC will permanently close a third location, the Wayne Motor Vehicle Agency, located within the Wayne Regional Service Center at 1578 Route 23 North in Passaic County. Customers who currently use the Wayne location may visit the Wayne Agency at 481Route46West, the Paterson Agency at 125 Broadway, or check www.njmvc.gov for alternate locations. The Wayne Regional Service Center will remain open to the public at this location for NJMVC-related services.
