One of NJ CAR’s primary missions is to provide dealers (and their employees) with information that could impact the franchised, automotive retail industry in New Jersey. The Coalition also strives to provide access to a wide variety of training opportunities.
NJ CAR has made it easy for dealers and their employees to stay in the loop on their own terms—access to the NJ CAR website, targeted email distribution lists, Social Media, and Mobile applications. The Coalition encourages all 35,000 individuals employed by New Jersey dealerships to utilize at least one of these resources.
NJ CAR Website
The Coalition maintains a very robust website (www.njcar.org) that includes an incredible amount of information. We have alsointroduced a “Share” function that allows users to easily share a story or page via email, or to a personal Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn page.

Targeted Email Distribution Lists
Every single person reading this article receives too many emails. NJ CAR tries to limit the number of communications it sends to its growing email distribution lists. While Dealer Principals and General Managers are copied on most communications, we try to target the majority of our emails to those individuals in a dealership for whom they are most applicable.
We don’t expect everyone to read every last word we email, but PLEASE scan the information quickly so you’ll know whether it is something you NEED TO KNOW.

For those dealers and dealership employees who are active in social media, NJ CAR wants to make you aware that the Coalition has vastly increased its use of social media, particularly Facebook, to provide members with more ways to receive information and communicate with NJ CAR.
We invite anyone with a Facebook account to “like” us. If you utilize Twitter, we invite you to “follow” us. You can reach both pages by clicking on the links at the top of NJ CAR’s homepage (www.njcar.org).
For those who live and breathe through their mobile devices, NJ CAR also has mobile phone applications for both the iPhone and Android smartphone platforms, which allow the Coalition to utilize the latest technology to communicate with its dealer members and their employees, when and where they want.
When you download the free application, you will have immediate access to news stories, NewsLetters, Video NewsLetters, NJ CAR ACADEMY Training, information on various NJ CAR Programs, Products and Services, as well as links to the Coalition’s website, Facebook and Twitter pages. You will also be able to receive notifications when important new content has been posted to NJ CAR’s website.
The links to download both Apps are also available on the Member side of the NJ CAR website (http://www.njcar.org), at the very top of the page.
If you already have a User ID and password for the NJ CAR website, you can use these to access the App after it has been downloaded.
