Wayne Hileman Assumes NJ CAR Chairmanship

Nov 20, 2009

Wayne Hileman, dealer principal of Burlington Volkswagen in Burlington, New Jersey, assumed the NJCAR Chairmanship, effective November 1, 2009. He succeeds AlKonner. Wayne brings more than 25 years of experience in various automotive-related industries. He worked in a body shop throughout his high school years, while also working on his family’s farm. After attending Burlington County College and Rutgers University for a short time, he started his own towing business at the age of 21. This enterprise grew into a used car facility and body shop as well. Wayne sold that business and made his way into the franchised automotive industry when he went to work at a Cherry Hill facility, ultimately serving as a Used Car Manager, New Car Manager and General Manager. He became a partner in a Pennsylvania Subaru Volkswagen franchise in 1988, ultimately adding Burlington Volkswagen in 1996, Burlington Kia in 1998 and Burlington Chevrolet in 2007, as well as a second Kia store in Turnersville earlier this year. Wayne is the father of two sons and recently widowed. He resides in Moorestown, New Jersey. Other Senior Officers for the 2009-2010 association year are: Vice Chairman Michael McGuire of McGuire Chevrolet Cadillac in Newton; Secretary William Kundert, Jr. of Kundert Motors, Inc. in Hasbrouck Heights; and Treasurer Mark Pellegrino of Pellegrino Chevrolet in Westville. NJCAR wishes Wayne and the rest of the Executive Leadership the best of luck as they take the reins of NJCAR for the coming year.
