NJ CAR is proud to announce that William (Bill) Kundert, President of Kundert Volvo, was recently selected as NewJersey’s 2014 TIME Dealer of the Year (TDOY) Award winner. The TDOY recognizes new vehicle dealers in the United States for exceptional performance in their dealerships, combined with distinguished community service.
Bill recently received the 50-Year Award from Volvo Cars of North America, one of only six dealers out of nearly 350 to receive such an honor. He has also held a variety of positions at NJCAR, including Chairman from 2011-2012.Bill supports numerous local charities and sports programs. He has sponsored a 24-hour bike marathon, held each Memorial Day in Hasbrouck Heights (for more than 15 years) to raise awareness for the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) Program. The event attracts more than 200 participants each year. Bill also made arrangements to house all of the Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department and Ambulance Corp. vehicles when their facility was destroyed by a fire.Bill is married with three children. NJ CAR wishes Bill great success, as he represents NewJersey in the National competition.
